Foreign Exchange Transaction Regulations — receipts of payments from abroad
Summary
The detailed rules banks apply to cross-border payments. Article 4-3 lets residents receive up to USD 5,000 per item without documents but requires written confirmation of the reason above USD 100,000 from the same sender on the same day; Article 4-8 sets automatic reporting to the National Tax Service and Korea Customs Service.
